I really liked studying Spanish at this school because the teachers were very helpful. They taught me a lot in just four weeks and I felt so much comfortable speaking Spanish now. The school organized a lot of activities and it was always fun taking part in them because I got to see a lot of Buenos Aires and I learned more about the Argentinean culture. During my time at the school, I met many other students and some of them have became my really good friends. My overall experience was great and I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a quality and fun language school to study Spanish in Buenos Aires!Details anzeigen » Weiterlesen...

I was disappointed by my experience at AMAUTA in Buenos Aires. The place was beautiful: the Palacio Barolo! Wow!
The people were nice too until I had a problem with my host family! Honestly, I think it's a school for young and at university level. It is a school that has lots of interesting projects to integrate young people who are doing internships, but for others it may be a little less interesting. Teaching is very performance-oriented ( written exercises) and when the teacher was trying to make conversation classes, young people lost interest and turned to their mobile phones. It happened to me several times so to speak because that made me turn and students were all in the process of texting or checking their Facebook while I was talking! Also, I think the school should make an effort to print the texts in the study with a playable character. There are almost entire course where I was completely unable to read text information so I felt I was wasting my time! I left school before my time because I had a problem with my host family and I did not receive any support from the school. They said that normally they had no problem with that family. But sorry, the lady was superb but his son seemed to have significant psychological problems. The first 2 weeks everything was perfect, but the third week, the son began to watching violent movies and playing violent video games for hours! Even for 5-6 now! And his room was right next to mine. So I could not take a nap, neither study nor sleep. I had to ask the lady of the house to inform his son to stop! It is sure that if you have 19 year old and stays out until 4 in the morning, you do not see it. After that, I left the family and rented a hotel room for 4 days. I could claim a refund, but I felt it was going to be complicated, so I left without getting my refund. Here! I was happy to leave there.
I am very sorry the experiece ended up being disapointing for you, we would have wanted it to be different. it's true that we have worked for a very long periode with this particular host family, as you mention, and we did not have problems before. Not with the son either, we definitely want our students to be able to sleep at night :-) This being said, it is important to realize that dinner time in Buenos AIres is around 23.00!
But of course there should be no noise at 4.00 a.m.
Of course we did discuss your situation with the lady but, as you say, you had already left the host family and you did not come to school anymore so we could not talk thing over or, at least, say goodbye to you.
Once more, we are very sorry and we hope you had, after all, a good time in Buenos Aires.
All the best,
For four weeks I followed a Spanish course at Amauta Spanish School. Buenos Aires is just perfect, the people, the nightlife, the many parks it has it all. Every morning from 09:00 to 13:00 I had lessons. The thing I liked the most about the classes is that they are so small. In my class there was one girl from Switzerland, one boy from Brazil and one girl of the United States. So with the four of us in one class we needed to talk a lot. This is exactly what I love the most about the school. At my University I followed already a few year Spanish classes, but because I never had to talk in the classes, talking was still very hard. But if you want to learn the Spanish language quickly you really need to go to Buenos Aires. The people will only talk to you in Spanish because the most of them don´t even speak English.
Everyday after school at 14:00 pm the activities started. We visited the city. One day La Boca, Recoleta, we were like real tourists. On the weekends we went out with all the students, doing bike tours or went to one of the markets. Really fun.
I really would recommend the school because the teachers are so nice and they will let you talk a lot so you will learn the language very fast. The activities are fun and Buenos Aires is amazing!
Thanks, the AMAUTA team is glad you had a good time with us.

1. I think for the Visa it will be easiest to apply as a dependent of her husband.
2. For the letter of acceptance I am still checking if this is possible and how much the fees will be.
